Este MOOC te brindará conocimientos básicos sobre el funcionamiento del cuerpo humano durante diferentes tipos de ejercicios y entrenamientos. Experimentarás y aprenderás cómo el cuerpo humano responde a diferentes formas de ejercicio y obtendrás respuesta a preguntas como: ¿de dónde obtiene la energía el cuerpo humano?, ¿cómo diferentes tipos de ejercicio favorecen el uso de carbohidratos, grasas y proteínas?, ¿cuántas kilocalorías quemas con diferentes tipos de actividades?, ¿cómo el ejercicio modifica la respuesta hormonal?, ¿qué hace a Bolt el humano más rápido del mundo?, ¿por qué algunos sujetos desarrollan músculos grandes y otros no?, ¿cómo tu propio cuerpo regula la temperatura durante el ejercicio?, entre otras.

Este MOOC es creado por docentes e investigadores con amplia experiencia y formación a nivel de maestría y doctorado en fisiología del ejercicio, además de ser miembros del Centro de Estudios en Medición de la Actividad Física (CEMA) de la Universidad del Rosario.
