Getting Started

Module 1: Introduction and Overview of the Law
This module examines the foundations of the U.S. legal system, from federal and state courts to the branches of government shaping laws. You will also learn about common law versus civil law systems and how to analyze legal materials like cases, statutes, and regulations.
Module 2: HIPAA and Healthcare Compliance
In this module you learn the key components of an effective compliance program. We explore the value of compliance programs in general through the lens of how an organization must comply with a specific federal statute: the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1966, or “HIPAA.”
Module 3: Human Resource Law
This module covers essential topics such as defining disabilities, reasonable accommodations, and legal considerations for employee conditions like drug use and vaccination refusal. Through exploration of these topics, participants enhance their ability to foster inclusivity and ensure ADA compliance, while also gaining knowledge to navigate complex legal frameworks, understand ADA regulations, and foster inclusive workplaces.
Module 4: Corporate Compliance
In this module you explore the fundamental principles of corporate compliance, providing a detailed explanation of its definition and highlighting its significance. It also examines the intersection of ethics and compliance with corporate governance, along with contemporary issues and emerging trends in the realm of corporate compliance.
Module 5: International Business Law
This module explores the complex mechanisms of alternative dispute resolution, such as negotiation, mediation, and arbitration, along with enforcement strategies for international judgments, and navigate the intricate terrain of resolving disputes across borders.
