If 2017 was any indication, we're living in a fast changing world that's changing even faster. With our voice, we can command smart devices the size of hockey pucks to tell us the weather, order us takeout, and dim the lights. If we live or visit the right cities, the next Uber or Lyft we order might just be a self-driving car that's testing live on the road.
The changes aren't purely technological either. At least in the US, the definition for what's socially and politically acceptable has shifted significantly. Politically, for example, it's now common for some politicians to attack the free press, sometimes daily. Socially, we see new deep lines drawn in the sand against abuse, starting first when influential victims of abuse spoke out in Hollywood and, incidentally, gave new voice to victims everywhere around the world.

Keeping up with just these changes alone is a task in itself. And while we can't predict the future, we're confident that there are at least a few things we can learn about that will help us stay abreast of what's to come in 2018.
