Unity3D is a powerful and versatile cross-platform game engine developed by Unity Technologies. It empowers creators to build interactive 2D, 3D, VR (virtual reality), and AR (augmented reality) experiences. Initially launched in 2005 as a game engine for Mac OS X, Unity has since expanded its reach to support a multitude of platforms, including desktop operating systems, mobile devices, game consoles, and emerging immersive technologies. Its user-friendly interface and extensive feature set have made it a popular choice for both indie developers and large AAA studios.
