Hermeneutics is the theory and practice of interpretation, especially of the Bible, literary texts, and philosophical texts. It is a complex field of study that draws on a variety of disciplines, including linguistics, philosophy, history, and theology. Hermeneutics is concerned with the ways in which we understand and make meaning of texts, and it seeks to develop methods for interpreting texts that are both accurate and meaningful.
