Este curso presenta propuestas tecnológicas que permiten hacer un uso estratégico de los recursos naturales, acompañando los procesos naturales, minimizando los impactos negativos sobre el ambiente, incluso recuperando ambientes degradados y posibilitando una producción agrícola sustentable.

Se desarrolla en cinco unidades, en las que se presentan los principios y métodos para el manejo de plagas, la descripción y ventajas del uso de insumos biológicos, estrategias como los cultivos de cobertura, la agricultura de precisión, los aportes que hace la biotecnología a la producción sustentable actual y las perspectivas futuras.

Así, en conjunto se proponen opciones de manejo probadas, pero fundamentalmente adaptables para la producción de cultivos extensivos.

Por otra parte, se ofrece una serie de herramientas, tecnologías accesibles y probadas, para una producción sustentable de alimentos que resulten eficientes en el uso de los recursos naturales, economía del uso de insumos y que generen bienestar para el empleado y productor agropecuario.

Al adquirir todas estas habilidades y destrezas podrás formar criterio para seleccionar las mejores prácticas de manejo y gestión de los agroecosistemas.
