Comer bien en una vuelta al mundo no es tarea fácil . Aprenda cómo equilibrar alta nutrición con practicidad mientras navega alrededor del mundo.

Este curso pretende introducirte en el mundo de la preparación de los deportistas que participan en regatas de navegación transoceánica, como la Barcelona World Race.

Ver que los proyectos son a largo plazo, que existe un periodo importante que dedican a su preparación física, la cual esta supervisada por una serie de pruebas en las que se va confirmando los logros en su rendimiento físico. Y luego también, como planifican su dieta.

En este curso aprenderás cuáles son los alimentos que se embarcan en la Barcelona World Race, cómo se diseñan los menús incorporando en ellos alimentos liofilizados que contribuyen a mantener las características organolépticas, a pesar de haber sido manipulados para conseguir un menor peso y mayor duración y estabilidad.

En el curso también se plantea el método de cálculo de las necesidades nutricionales y cómo se planifica una dieta para rendir al máximo en los periodos de preparación y de navegación en la vuelta al mundo.

En este módulo estudiaremos cuáles son las bases para el establecimiento del plan dietético de deportistas de élite como son los navegantes que se embarcan en una vuelta al mundo como la Barcelona World Race. Criterios para la confección de la dieta de los deportistas: En este módulo estudiaremos los criterios para la confección de la dieta de los deportistas. La primera herramienta con la que cuenta el dietista es la pirámide alimentaria, que aporta información sobre los grupos de alimentos y las raciones recomendadas para el consumo diario.Vistos los aspectos generales que debe tener una dieta equilibrada, aprenderemos cuáles son los requerimientos nutricionales de los deportistas durante su entrenamiento y cuál debe ser la pauta y el aporte nutricional durante el periodo de entrenamiento. 3.1 Criterios para la confección de la dieta 3.2 Pirámide alimentaria: raciones y frecuencia de consumo 3.3 Dieta de entrenamiento

La alimentación de los marineros en el océano: En este módulo entraremos de lleno en la alimentación de los navegantes oceánicos; en la importancia de la hidratación, que es el factor más complejo a bordo de un velero que da la vuelta al mundo; veremos que sistemas tenemos para el control de la dieta y cómo abordar la necesidad de suplementos.4.1 Alimentarse para navegar 4.2 Hidratación 4.3 Sistemas de control de la dieta 4.4 Suplementos
Los alimentos en la navegación oceánica
Después de estudiar lo concerniente a la dieta del deportista oceánico, veremos las características de los alimentos que se consumen a bordo de un IMOCA 60 en una regata alrededor del mundo como la Barcelona World Race. Los alimentos constituyen una parte fundamental en la navegación oceánica y, por consiguiente, forman parte de la logística general con que se prepara la regata. Los liofilizados constituyen la base de la alimentación a bordo.En el vídeo Pere Castells explica el contenido de este módulo. La importancia de los liofilizados en la navegación oceánica y cuáles son las características de estos alimentos y su proceso de producción. En este módulo estudiaremos: 5.2.
