Данный курс является продолжением "Литературной сокровищницы Ближнего Востока (часть 1)". Материал двух курсов построен в хронологическом порядке: от дешифровки древнеперсидской и древнетюркской письменности через историю переводов и публикаций литературных памятников Ближнего Востока на Западе и в России. Первая часть курса посвящена истории литературных памятников Ближнего Востока, а также истории их появления в России и на Западе – дешифровке, переводу и распространению. В лекциях поднимаются темы, связанные с историей письма, историей мировой литературы и историей перевода с языков мусульманского Ближнего Востока. Звучат образцы ближневосточных литературных произведений. Отдельный блок посвящен кораническим литературным сюжетам. Специальный модуль в данной части "Литературной сокровищницы Ближнего Востока" посвящен современной ближневосточной литературе, которая в наши дни занимает лидирующие позиции в мире. Курс включает интервью с ведущими современными экспертами в области ближневосточной литературы и перевода.
