Understanding some basic physics of sound is key to being able to manipulate audio in Fairlight.

Start to get more familiar with the Fairlight page. Learn how to navigate and understand how the Fairlight user interface is organized.

Learn how to cut, trim, and move clips and use the different editing modes. Add fade ins/outs. Add audio effects to clips.

Learn how to make changes at the track level by adjusting track fader volumes, EQ settings, panning, dynamics/compression, audio effects, and also choose the signal processing order.

Automation is a powerful way of creating immersive, detailed, artistic mixes by creating automation data/keyframes for both individual clips and tracks as a whole. In this module you will learn how to draw automation manually and how to record automation in real time.

Learn how to control multiple channels at the same time using track groups and VCAs. Create custom busses and route audio to them. Create effects busses and use sidechains to control compression. And create effects busses to add things like reverb to multiple tracks of audio.

How to mix together dialogue, sound effects, and music so they all sound well balanced using tools like volume, panning, EQ, and compression.
