The course explores the main areas of classical electromagnetism and optics.The order of the various topics follows the traditional Italian syllabus: electrostatics, electric currents, magnetostatics, electrodynamics, electromagnetic phenomena in matter, and finally optics. The course takes a broadly phenomenological approach,though experimental and theoretical aspects are also introduced along with their mathematical formulation.
