¿Sabes cuál es el alcance de las actividades de la industria en los sectores económico y social, así como en nuestra vida diaria?

Este curso te permite conocer cómo está conformada la industria de hidrocarburos, sus fundamentos técnicos y geológicos, así como identificar las implicaciones económicas y sociales de la industria de hidrocarburos. También promueve el reconocimiento de los distintos beneficios −económicos, sociales, ambientales, entre otros− que genera la industria; permite realizar un análisis de la industria como fuente de desarrollo; facilita la identificación del alcance de los riesgos que presenta la actividad energética; y describe los distintos elementos que conforman la industria.

Tema 1. Introducción a los hidrocarburos
A lo largo de este tema comenzarás a familiarizarte con los conceptos fundamentales de la industria de los hidrocarburos. Te presentamos el origen de los hidrocarburos, su historia y la importancia de la geología del petróleo para la búsqueda y extracción de los hidrocarburos en todo el mundo.

Tema 2. Desarrollo y producción de hidrocarburos
A lo largo de este tema conocerás qué son los hidrocarburos y cuáles son los yacimientos que los almacenan, así como las actividades asociadas para descubrirlos y llevarlos a una etapa comercialmente explotable.
Tema 3. Transformación industrial de los hidrocarburos y los hidrocarburos en nuestras vidas
A lo largo de este, comenzarás a familiarizarte con los productos de petrolíferos y petroquímica que se obtienen a partir de los diferentes procesos de transformación industrial de los hidrocarburos. Te presentaremos una perspectiva sobre cuál es su valor para otros sectores e industrias en la economía mexicana, así como cuáles son aquellos productos de mayor utilización en tu vida cotidiana. Y, finalmente, podrás conocer cuál es la relevancia de la transformación industrial de los hidrocarburos en un contexto de transición energética.
Tema 4. Mercado internacional
A lo largo de este, comenzarás a familiarizarte con los conceptos básicos y actores que conforman el mercado internacional de los hidrocarburos más importantes en la actividad económica. Te presentamos una perspectiva sobre cuáles son los determinantes de precios de los productos más representativos en el mercado internacional. Y, por último, podrás conocer cómo se llevan a cabo algunas de las transacciones en el mercado y las implicaciones estratégicas que tienen en la industria.
Tema 5. Diversidad de profesiones y disciplinas relacionadas a la industria de hidrocarburos
La industria energética − y particularmente la de petróleo y gas natural − es una de las más vastas del planeta en cuanto al empleo de personal y, además, es una de las más dinámicas en cuanto a las disciplinas que están involucradas.
