El rock, como género musical, no puede separarse de los procesos políticos y sociales en distintos lugares del planeta. Cada vez es más necesario comprender cómo se articula la música con actores políticos colectivos, comopartidos políticos, grupos de interés o movimientos sociales . Este curso te mostrará, a partir de diversos ejes temáticos, cómo el rock se ha articulado con movimientos sociales de diferente tipo (Derechos Humanos, étnicos y de género, entre otros). Desde una perspectiva política vamos a entender cómo el rock se vincula a las relaciones de poder y cómo sirve para cuestionar las dinámicas de opresión, es decir, se aborda desde la noción de rock político.se analizaráel surgimiento y desarrollo del rock , junto con sus bandas, y cómo están permeados por el contexto social y político en el que viven, y esto, en definitiva, influye en la forma de hacer música y lo que es. cantado
