Module 3 - Mondialisation, culture et marques
La mondialisation a drastiquement modifié le marché. Parallèlement à la prolifération de marques internationales porteuses de différentes cultures, les consommateurs s'ouvrent aussi de plus en plus à la diversité culturelle. Ce module définit la mondialisation et les quatre facteurs qui s'y rapportent : multiculturalisme croissant, brassage culturel, concurrence mondiale et connectivité/cocréation. Nous analyserons ce qu'est la culture, comment elle se manifeste et dans quelle mesure elle varie à travers le monde. Nous terminerons ce module en soulignant que les marques peuvent être des représentations tangibles de la culture qui incarnent les valeurs et les idéaux d'un groupe culturel.
Module 4 - États d'esprit culturels et assimilation à un cadre culturel
Ce module explique comment la culture peut nous influencer dans nos jugements et nos comportements. Nous y apprendrons que la culture est représentée dans nos cerveaux comme un réseau d'éléments liés à un concept central. Lorsque ce réseau s'active, nous avons tendance à adapter notre comportement aux prescriptions de notre culture.
Module 5 - Le brassage culturel et ses conséquences
Ce module étudie la manière dont les personnes réagissent à la juxtaposition simultanée de cultures pour un même objet, un phénomène que nous appelons « brassage culturel ». Nous apprendrons que le brassage culturel a des conséquences sur le plan cognitif et de l'attitude. Selon plusieurs facteurs personnels et contextuels, les personnes peuvent répondre favorablement ou défavorablement aux stimuli liés au brassage culturel. Nous examinerons ces facteurs afin de déterminer quand les personnes réagissent positivement ou négativement au brassage culturel.
