Causes of ASD
The exact cause of ASD is unknown, but it is believed to be caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Some of the risk factors for ASD include:

- Being born prematurely or with a low birth weight
- Having certain genetic conditions, such as Fragile X syndrome or Down syndrome

Diagnosis of ASD
ASD is diagnosed by a qualified healthcare professional, such as a pediatrician or psychiatrist. The diagnosis is based on a child's behavior and development. There is no single test for ASD.
