Abordaremos las nociones de Salud Mental, problemas y trastornos mentales, estigma, determinantes sociales, principios del abordaje comunitario y algunas herramientas para la atención a problemas de salud mental incluida una introducción al manejo de las sustancias psicoactivas y la epilepsia.

Este curso no pretende sustituir la atención especializada, pero sí ofrecer unas herramientas básicas que empoderen a las comunidades en la identificación y abordaje inicial de eventos en salud mental. ¿Por qué cualquier miembro de la comunidad debería tomar este curso? En algún momento de nuestras vidas, todos hemos tenido que atender diferentes situaciones que se encuentran relacionadas con la salud mental y suele ser un tema que preocupa, que genera prejuicios y que afecta el adecuado funcionamiento individual y social. Por esto, recibir información y entrenamiento ayudará a afrontar mejor estas situaciones y a incorporarlas en la dinámica propia de los entornos comunitarios, sintiéndonos todos responsables y aportantes en el acompañamiento de estas personas y sus familias.

Unidad 1: Detección temprana de los riesgos por curso de vida en salud mental y consumo de sustancias psicoactivas
Bienvenido a la primera unidad del curso “Fortalecimiento de los equipos psicosociales y comunidad en general para el cuidado de la salud mental”. En esta unidad abordaremos de manera general qué es, cómo se construye la salud mental y qué situaciones o condiciones pueden afectarla. Tendremos tres módulos: en el módulo 1 definiremos qué es la salud mental y otros conceptos relacionados. En el segundo módulo veremos cómo puede verse afectada nuestra salud mental por las condiciones en las que nacemos, crecemos y envejecemos. Por último, en el módulo tres se definirá que son las sustancias psicoactivas, qué es el consumo problemático y cómo podemos diferenciarlo del consumo no problemático. Conoceremos qué son los problemas y los trastornos mentales y finalmente definiremos la epilepsia y de qué manera se relaciona esta con la salud mental.

Módulo 3: ¿Cómo identificar los problemas mentales, trastornos mentales, consumo de sustancias psicoactivas y epilepsia en la comunidad?
Unidad 2: Primeros auxilios psicológicos, intervención motivacional breve y abordaje comunitario.
Bienvenido a la segunda unidad del curso “Fortalecimiento de los equipos psicosociales y comunidad en general para el cuidado de la salud mental”. A lo largo de esta unidad, que está compuesta por 4 módulos aprenderás sobre algunas herramientas para el manejo de algunos problemas y trastornos mentales y la manera en la que la comunidad puede contribuir a este manejo. En el módulo cuatro hablaremos sobre el rol de la comunidad en el manejo de problemas y trastornos mentales, la epilepsia y el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas. En el quinto módulo aprenderemos sobre qué es una crisis, hablaremos sobre los primeros auxilios psicológicos como herramienta para manejar las crisis y se abordarán recomendaciones para poder aplicarlos. En el sexto módulo, hablaremos sobre la intervención motivacional breve como herramienta para promover cambios de comportamiento y en el séptimo módulo aprenderás sobre la importancia del enfoque diferencial y comunitario a la hora de aplicar estas herramientas. Al final de esta unidad, responderás una evaluación para hacer cuenta de lo aprendido a lo largo de los módulos.
Módulo 6: Principios de intervención motivacional breve, canalización y seguimiento
Profundización: Manejo comunitario
Bienvenidos y bienvenidas a la tercera unidad del curso “Fortalecimiento de los equipos psicosociales y comunidad en general para el cuidado de la salud mental”. En esta unidad, abordaremos de manera general temas de interés que les facilitarán el acompañamiento a las personas de sus comunidades. Dicho acompañamiento estará enfocado desde la prevención, por lo cual, a lo largo de los módulos conocerán diferentes estrategias para promover una mejor salud mental. De esta forma, en el primer módulo conocerán cuáles son los estilos y modos de vida saludables y estableceremos la relación que tienen de manera directa sobre la salud mental. Posteriormente, se abordará de manera general la estrategia de Rehabilitación en salud mental Basada en la Comunidad (RBC) y los mecanismos de Participación social y dispositivos de base comunitaria. Esta seccion les permitirá reconocerse a sí mismos como agentes activos capaces de promover un cambio a en la salud mental de sus comunidades. Finalmente, en el ultimo modulo conocerán algunos de los mecanismos existentes para asegurar un adecuado gozo del derecho a la salud. Estos módulos recién descritos, les permitirán a ustedes tener información útil, sencilla y basada en la evidencia para su aplicación en el día a día. ¡Comencemos!
