It's really well put together and shows a lot of attention to detail.Customer service is something that came natural to me since I started in it at the age of 18, but I notice that not everyone is like me.

A lot of the content was familiar to me, but I learned a lot of useful things in the module on troubleshooting and customer service.

For the people that have been in the IT industry doing a refresher and the section on Customer Service is a great tool to learn the skills.

However, even though I have a computer and customer service background there was still useful information.

But after talking to customer service they suggested a site called allmydestops.com This course is a must for people that have little or no knowledge about IT.

virtual machine

I also liked the google virtual machine lessons that allowed me to work on Linux and learn how to build a computer without having to purchase expensive equipment.

Some lessons were good,some are bad.The most complete lesson with good instructor was lesson 6.The worst one was the part with hardware,many mistakes and bad final assessment part I had some difficulties in using the virtual machine system.

excellent course please fix the virtual machine stuff.

Lessons are great but those virtual machines are very hard to configure (from my end) it must be my age.

These included fill in the blank pop quizzes on terminology, multiple choice quizzes at the end of most sections, and labs using virtual machines.

I had a little trouble getting used to some things like the virtual machine, but struggling with it was a helpful learning process too.

I wish I was able to get more practice and walkthroughs with the virtual machine exercises.

It also eased me into new concepts such as application management in Ubuntu, and working with virtual machines.

Main problem was difficulty of and time spent using the virtual machines, getting to the point where the score was updated.

I'm withholding a star in my rating because the Virtual Machine assignments were a bit glitchy, but overall I an excellent introduction to certification.

However the Virtual Machine labs can be pretty hit or miss, and may require you to try multiple times to receive full credit.

I love the virtual machine and it's practical exercises!

Well structured interactive sessions running virtual machines let you apply the obtained new knowledge and slowly teach you how to do things the professional way.

What a awesome experience it was and i am very excited to learn more from Google the experts was really very cool and fantastic and the virtual experience of the computers of virtual machine was awesome Really Really Excited For More From Google I enjoyed going over this information as a refresher course.

It filled the gaps I had in my knowledge about Information Technology and increased my confidence a lot!

operating systems

This course has been amazing to me, I went from having no knowledge about a single component within a PC to knowing the basics of software and operating systems, as well as being able to put together a PC.

Excellent course I learn all the fundamental concepts of Computer hardware, networking, operating systems, security, troubleshooting etc.

The labs are really cool and let you get hands-on experience on both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Very informative This course was excellent, with a good grounding in hardware, operating systems, introduction to networking, and getting you stated on the strategies of troubleshooting.

once again a lots of thanks to coursera and Google for providing such an expert tutorials on computers , operating systems , networks.

It was an awesome course to learn more about the different types of hardware and software also not to mention the history of computer and how to build one from scratch also learning the different operating systems and how to navigate the different operating systems and how to decode computer language into human language via the ASCII table.

A newbie probably wouldn't have those problems, but might be misled or confused by some not-so-great moments of instruction.My favorite week was (predictably) the most technical one -- the course about operating systems.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning about operating systems, internet, and components of a computer.Thank you very much.

I knew some of the information, but I find this course very valuable in helping a person learn even more useful information to work in the IT profession or just help an individual learn the fundamentals to building their own computer/network and installing and maintaining different operating systems.

virtual machines

The use of virtual machines in both the Windows and Linux environment was well done.

I now have the Adhoc fundamental skills to grow my business both in tech support and customer service aspects.I enjoyed learning about remote support possibilities and working on virtual machines.

interesting and practical Great intro course just needs better instructions for the Virtual machines Nice videos & generally easy to navigate!

Some of the more interactive parts were educational yet it seems like more technical in getting the virtual machines running than the actual task of creating a folder once there.

It even lets you use virtual machines to practice certain computing tasks such as installing software to Linux.

Just be prepared for some headache, as getting onto these virtual machines is understandably complicated.
