Many people go through life believing that "emotions are just part of life and you have to get over them" or "we don't talk about emotions." When that is the case, we experience emotions but feel defined by them, controlled by them, and overwhelmed by them. A correct understanding of your emotions will help you acknowledge and release them so you can live empowered.

In this course, you will learn how much power you actually have inside of yourself. You have the power to rewrite your memories and reprogram your brain. You have the power to manage your emotions – even ones like anxiety and anger.

Your emotions don’t define you. They are meant to be experienced and then let go.

Learn tools and strategies that you can use every day to manage your emotions and gain a more empowered perspective on life. Living in this way will free you from addictive or destructive behaviors, help you develop and deepen real relationships with others, and help you love the life you are living.

If you have believed that there is no hope for you but you desperately want that hope and are willing to do something about it, this course is for you.

Ben Eden, Mental Health Practitioner, has a Diploma in Mental Health and Wellness, certified through Achology, the Academy of Modern, Applied Psychology.

Introduction

We all have a story.  Things happen in our lives and we get to choose what story we tell about them.  To change your story, you need to understand that your emotions don't have to define you.

Shining a light on a situation dispels the darkness (unknown) and helps you see things how they truly are. Learn to illuminate what is truly happening in your life and you become empowered to act.

A proper understanding of emotions helps you know that they don't define you and they are to be experienced, not ignored.

When we correctly name something, we tame it.  Thus, as we learn to correctly name our emotions, we gain power over them.

If you Avoid, Ignite, or Disguise your emotions, you may be leaving them unresolved.

Now that you have increased your understanding of emotions and their energy, learn ways to release that energy and live in the emotional state that you desire.

Protect your emotional energy so you can manage your life empowered.

Criticism, whether constructive or not, can put you into an emotional rut.  Learn how to receive the message without becoming emotionally distraught and defensive.

Negative Self Talk can destroy you from the inside.  Learn to differentiate the voices inside your head so you can cut out the negative voice.

Learn to see "failures" as the lessons they are so you can move beyond set backs and mistakes.

We act based on how we feel.  In other words, your behavior is strongly influenced by your emotions.  Use this understanding to show up and act in a useful way.

Stress and anxiety serve a purpose and it is not bad to experience them.  You have much more power over them than you realize.  You do not need to live your life defined by stress or anxiety.  Learn to manage it and live in peace.

Congratulations!
