Tendencias en tecnología para interacción con el paciente

Las interacciones remotas han dado un giro a la vida moderna, nos permiten acortar la distancia entre dos personas, ya sea en interacciones sociales o en el ámbito laboral. La práctica médica o en salud no ha sido la excepción. En especial a raíz de la actual pandemia de SARS-CoV 2 y debido al distanciamiento social que trajo consigo. Las prácticas en salud no estuvieron exentas de este distanciamiento y la Teleatención o Telemedicina ha supuesto una gran ventaja en este aspecto. En esta sección discutiremos los recursos y la secuencia recomendada para una teleconsulta exitosa.

Monitoreo remoto del paciente mediado por tecnología

El monitoreo remoto del paciente (RPM, por sus siglas en inglés) permite el monitoreo de los pacientes fuera del entorno clínico, como en el hogar. Los pacientes usan dispositivos que recopilan y transmiten datos fisiológicos a los profesionales de la salud (NIBIB, 2020).

Modelos para administración de telesalud y telemedicina

Administrar integra la toma de acciones, la dirección y gestión de recursos, para lograr los objetivos y metas propuestas. Estas metas funcionan en diferentes niveles, que van desde un equipo hasta una organización completa. Una correcta gestión en salud permite lograr estos objetivos de forma eficaz y eficiente, teniendo al centro a las personas. Estos principios de administración son observables desde la administración que hace cada profesional de la salud en su consulta hasta la generación de políticas que impactan un país.

Ciberseguridad

La implementación de un programa de telemedicina requiere de definir un modelo de atención considerando el contexto, las características de la población y la valoración de la plataforma de interacción y habilitación del servicio, así como de un plan de acompañamiento que garantice la práctica médica de quien la ofrece y quien la recibe. La tecnología debe ser ese habilitador que nos de la cercanía, el registro de la intervención y posibilite la documentación para el acervo de conocimiento e investigación cuidando la privacidad de los pacientes.
