Курс «Контроль над вооружениями и международная безопасность» адресован политологам, всем обучающимся в области международных отношений, историкам, тем, кто интересуется проблематикой международной безопасности, конфликтов, войны и мира. В курсе даются, разъясняются и иллюстрируются определения баланса ядерных и обычных вооруженных сил, стратегической стабильности, ядерного сдерживания, анализируются военно-политических концепции и стратегии разных стран. Рассматривается влияние развития современных технологий (космических, компьютерных, лазерных, беспилотных, гиперзвуковых и иных) на расширение спектра угроз современной цивилизации. Разъясняются и иллюстрируются схемами основные договоры и соглашения в области контроля над вооружениями (ДНЯО, ДВЗЯИ, ОСВ, СНВ, РСМД, ДОВСЕ, ДОН и др.) Рассматривается эволюция военных возможностей и политико-стратегических установок СССР/России, США, Китая, Индии и Пакистана, Израиля, Северной Кореи. Анализируются доктрины и подходы НАТО, Евросоюза, ОБСЕ, ОДКБ и других международных организаций к обеспечению безопасности. Изучается связь эволюции миропорядка с состоянием международной безопасности. С лекциями в данном курсе выступают ведущие российские военные и гражданские эксперты, а также специалисты из стран НАТО – Норвегии и Германии, обеспечивая плюрализм взглядов и баланс подходов к проблемам международной безопасности.
