Tasting Language : The Happy Malay's Food Vocabulary Course

  • Well known as a food paradise, Malaysia is a place where we Malaysians live to eat. Our multicultural society contributes to cuisine which is a rich melting pot of ingredients, herbs and spices.

  • As a Malaysian, I feel that one cannot underestimate the importance of learning about words associated with food. Learning vocabulary about food is a great way to know more about our cuisine and the Malay language at the same time. The best part is that people bond over food and if you can tell us how the food tastes like, we will be smiling from end to end.

  • The Happy Malay's All about Food and Vocabulary Sentences aims to teach Malay while bringing a smile to your face. Perhaps you will be inspired to try our delicious cuisine- may it be Malay, Chinese, Indian, Western or a fusion delight.

  • Learning Malay vocabulary by topic is an easy and practical way to remember words and phrases. In this course, there are three main sections. The First Section presents vocabulary from English to Malay while the Second Section presents vocabulary from Malay to English. All vocabulary and sentences are repeated and translated. These are commonly used vocabulary when people get together to converse about food.

  • In the Third Section, the "Describing my Favourite Malaysian Dish" Class Project is an exciting and engaging learning experience focused on mastering food vocabulary through the exploration of the diverse and delicious world of Malaysian cuisine. The primary objective of this project is to equip students with the appropriate vocabulary and language skills needed to eloquently describe their favourite Malaysian dish. Students are encouraged to hand up their class project to me.

The making of this course has been an enjoying experience for me and it is my sincere wish that you would gain profound knowledge from Tasting Language : The Happy Malay's Food Vocabulary Course.
