Reviews summary

Functional english for technology discussions

According to students, this course offers a largely positive experience for enhancing English communication about technology. Learners particularly praise the practicality and relevance of content, noting its utility for daily life and professional settings, including IT issues and workplace tech tips. The Voxy platform is consistently acclaimed for its adaptive learning, engaging lessons, and customized experience, leading to increased confidence. While beneficial for vocabulary, some learners desired more in-depth speaking practice, with a few finding the level better suited for true beginners than low-intermediate.
Voxy platform provides an engaging and personalized learning path.
"The Voxy platform is amazing; it adapted perfectly to my level and made learning engaging."
"The Voxy system is truly smart and customized the learning experience."
"The Voxy platform is intuitive and made learning enjoyable."
"My main critique is that while the Voxy platform is adaptive, it sometimes feels less like a traditional class and more like a gamified app, which isn't always what I prefer."
Course content highly relevant for daily and work use.
"This course was exactly what I needed to improve my English for my tech job. The lessons on IT issues and tech tips were incredibly useful."
"Absolutely fantastic! The examples of emails and conversations were so practical. This course gave me the confidence to discuss technology."
"The real-life scenarios, especially the IT issues module, prepared me for actual work situations. I feel much more confident now discussing tech at work."
"The content is practical for daily life and work. I particularly enjoyed the section on features and innovation."
Opportunities for direct speaking practice could be more comprehensive.
"I wish there were more opportunities for direct speaking practice with a tutor, but the platform's adaptive exercises were quite helpful."
"Sometimes I felt the speaking practice was limited to pronunciation rather than fluency."
"The Voxy platform's AI-driven feedback for speaking wasn't always clear, and I missed having direct human interaction for feedback."
May be too basic for some low-intermediate learners, better for beginners.
"Some lessons felt too easy for 'low intermediate' and didn't challenge me enough. Might be better for true beginners transitioning to intermediate."
"I signed up hoping to significantly improve my conversational English about tech, but found the exercises on Voxy too basic."
"If you're really 'low intermediate' you might find it okay, but for me it was a bit slow."
