Reviews summary

Practical english for planning & organization

According to learners, this course offers highly practical and real-world English language skills, particularly excelling in modules like 'Scheduling Meetings' and 'Organization at Work'. Many appreciate the adaptive and self-paced Voxy platform, which allows for flexible learning anytime, anywhere, and builds significant confidence in planning and organizing in English. However, some learners noted concerns about the Voxy platform's occasional technical glitches or repetitive exercises, and a desire for more direct instructor interaction or live speaking practice. While the course is effective for low-intermediate levels, a few found the level sometimes inconsistent.

The 'low intermediate' level was sometimes inconsistent for learners.

"The topics are relevant, but I felt the 'low intermediate' level was sometimes a bit too easy, or sometimes too difficult depending on the exercise."

"For someone truly at 'low intermediate' it's excellent. I was perhaps slightly above that level, so some parts felt like review."

"The Voxy platform adapts, but sometimes I felt stuck or that it didn't quite hit my specific needs."

Offers an adaptive, self-paced learning environment highly valued by many.

"Voxy platform is great, very adaptive. I feel much more confident planning things in English now."

"The self-paced nature on Voxy worked well for my busy schedule. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to organize their life in English."

"Voxy is a great learning environment; the lessons are short and digestible, which is perfect for my busy life."

"I enjoyed the flexibility of Voxy. My main criticism is that some exercises could have been more challenging."

Equips learners with essential language for daily and professional planning.

"This course is incredibly practical! The real-world conversations and emails were so helpful. I especially liked the 'Scheduling Meetings' module..."

"The real-life scenarios really helped me. The lessons are short and digestible... I learned so much about making reservations and scheduling."

"I gained a lot of confidence in my English communication for everyday and professional situations. This was exactly what I needed."

"I learned how to use practical phrases for planning, especially the parts on making plans with friends and work organization."

Some users experienced technical issues or repetitive exercises on Voxy.

"I found the Voxy platform sometimes a bit repetitive, and I wished there were more opportunities for direct speaking practice."

"Disappointed. While the idea of practical English is good, the Voxy platform was buggy for me at times, and the adaptive learning didn't always feel right."

"The Voxy platform sometimes felt clunky, and I felt isolated without more interaction opportunities."

Some learners desire more direct instructor or peer interaction.

"I wished there were more opportunities for direct speaking practice with a tutor, but overall a solid foundation."

"I also felt the course lacked direct instructor feedback or live sessions, which is crucial for language learning. It felt a bit impersonal."

"I felt isolated without more interaction opportunities. It's self-paced, which is good, but also means you need a lot of self-discipline."
