QU’EST-CE QUE L’ANTISÉMITISME ? DÉFINITIONS ET ORIGINES
Cette semaine, nous commencerons notre exploration du phénomène de l’antisémitisme. Nous discuterons de la nature de la haine, des caractéristiques uniques de l’antisémitisme ainsi que de l’étymologie du terme. Nous nous pencherons ensuite sur les racines historiques et le développement précoce du phénomène – de la période gréco-romaine jusqu’au Moyen Âge.

LES ÉVOLUTIONS DE L’ANTISÉMITISME
Nous passerons à l’ère moderne, en examinant comment les principaux mouvements religieux, sociaux et politiques qui ont façonné l’Europe et le monde à cette époque ont affecté les comportements envers les Juifs.
L’ANTISÉMITISME GÉNOCIDAIRE: DE LA PREMIÈRE GUERRE MONDIALE À L’HOLOCAUSTE

Au cours de cette dernière semaine du cours, nous tenterons d’améliorer notre compréhension de l’antisémitisme contemporain. Nous explorerons également la haine en ligne et examinerons la façon dont l’antisémitisme est confronté et traité dans diverses scènes aujourd’hui.
