La calidad en la atención clínica surge ante la necesidad de reducir y prevenir los eventos adversos en la atención del paciente. Existen diferentes mecanismos para una adecuada planeación de los procesos de intervención y tratamiento los cuales posibilitan las oportunidades de mejora e innovación en los contextos clínicos de los diferentes niveles de atención.

Aunque tradicionalmente los servicios de salud no incluían los temas de satisfacción al cliente como parte de los indicadores, hoy en día el paciente debe convertirse en el centro de la atención y ser escuchado sobre las áreas de oportunidad de los procesos de intervención.

Es así como la atención interprofesional se vuelve relevante para ampliar el diálogo entre los miembros del equipo de salud y del paciente para lograr objetivos en común en donde todas las partes participen en la toma de decisiones, lo cual debe incluirse como parte de los objetivos educativos profesionales y a lo largo de la vida.

Los objetivos del curso 2 son los siguientes:

• Proporcionar herramientas de calidad para la mejora continua del proceso de atención centrado en el paciente.

• Reconocer la importancia de la atención interprofesional para la democratización de las voces que participan en el proceso clínico, incluyendo al paciente mismo.

• Establecer planes educativos para la formación interprofesional y la atención centrada en el paciente a lo largo de la vida.

Calidad en el servicio
Actualmente, una práctica clínica exige asegurar que los procesos clínicos de diagnóstico y terapéutica estén basados en la mejor evidencia científica disponible y que sean aplicados de manera correcta y sin errores. Todos los hospitales trabajan en ambientes variables y es aquí donde la gestión estratégica de la calidad juega un papel prioritario para alcanzar estándares óptimos de calidad y seguridad, que permitan un óptimo desempeño para los hospitales tanto públicos y privados de nuestro país. Derivado de la gestión por procesos existen modelos de calidad institucional, algunos ampliamente implementados tanto por la industria no médica como por las instituciones de salud.

Importancia de la atención interprofesional
Una mejora en la atención médica que pueda ser frente a los retos mundiales requiere de una fuerza de trabajo que preste servicios de calidad y que responda a las necesidades locales en un entorno dinámico. Para ello es necesario potenciar las competencias de los profesionales de la salud en beneficio de los pacientes, sus familiares y las comunidades en todos los entornos de salud. Es decir, el primer paso es la formación de las personas que participan en la atención primaria a la salud desde una visión interprofesional para después pasar a la conformación de equipos de trabajo que colaboren y no sólo participen, en la atención integral de los pacientes.
Desarrollo Profesional Continuo
El Desarrollo Profesional Continuo constituye una de las etapas más importantes y largas dentro de la vida de los profesionales de la salud. Inicia en el momento que se culmina con el periodo de formación ya sea de pregrado o posgrado y es el que determina la vigencia de competencias que les permite una práctica profesional de calidad. Puede ser concebido como la base para el éxito profesional, es complejo, y requiere una actitud de vida.
Escenarios y Ambientes educativos
Los avances científicos-tecnológicos que han dominado las diversas esferas de la humanidad han generado un cambio dramático en los escenarios y ambientes educativos dentro de las Ciencias de la Salud. En los últimos 20 años la forma de aprender y enseñar medicina, ciencias de la salud y clínica es completamente diferente; lo que ha requerido de la adquisición de nuevas habilidades en el profesorado para lograr un aprendizaje significativo en los alumnos. Con la llegada de la pandemia por COVID 19, la realidad de la educación cambió por completo y ahora hay nuevos escenarios y ambientes que generan un proceso enseñanza aprendizaje aún más complejo.
