Reviews summary

Practical digital media with libre impress

According to students, this course is a highly practical and beginner-friendly guide to creating digital media using Libre Impress. Many praise its clear, step-by-step instructions and the effectiveness of its guided project format. Learners appreciate how it makes digital media creation accessible and offers a cost-effective alternative to commercial software. While it excels at teaching the software's functionalities, some learners note that the coverage of broader graphic design principles is limited, making it more of a software tutorial than an in-depth design course. It's best suited for those new to Impress or seeking basic digital media skills.
Utilizes free software, appreciated by budget-conscious learners.

"Excellent guided project! The step-by-step guidance was invaluable and made learning interactive and fun."
"The practical exercises helped solidify the concepts. I liked the focus on creating actual digital media rather than just theoretical concepts."
May be too basic or slow for those with prior experience.
"While the course is okay for absolute beginners, I found it a bit too slow-paced and basic."
"If you have any prior experience with presentation software like PowerPoint, much of this will be review."
"Not for advanced users seeking complex design principles. It's more of a software tutorial than a creative design course."
Focuses on software mechanics, not broader design theory.
"I was hoping for more advanced graphic design techniques. This course is strictly about the mechanics of Libre Impress. It felt a bit misleading on the 'graphic design' part of the title."
"Very disappointing. This course is extremely basic and focuses only on using Libre Impress, not 'graphic design.' The title is misleading."
"It didn't really help me with 'graphic design' in the broader sense. I expected more creative insights and design theory."
