Professor Philippi served as a member of the Supreme Court, as well as a member of the Scientific Society of Chile and the Chilean Academy of Social Sciences. He taught Contract Law and was an expert in arbitration. Within the academic sphere, he delved into the study and research of various fields of knowledge, such as philosophy, anthropology, and also demonology.

The professor used to invite selected students to his home where interesting meetings were held to study in depth the topic of angels and demons. It is from these teachings that We have designed this course, which, for the first time in English, presents the pristine reflections of this great intellectual to the world.
