I need to learn how to build a website... so far this seems to be about blogging.
There have been a couple hiccups because WordPress has come so far since this training video was recorded many years ago.
So far the course has been very clear and helpful.

from scratch
I've built websites from scratch, but never had the nerve to dive into WordPress development because I was just very confused by the framework.
And the building a theme from scratch part is pretty useless for people, like me, who don't know any coding.
He spends the entire last chapter coding a new WP theme from scratch.
Also the videos about build a Them from scratch were really useful but it need to be updated and emphasise more on the role of each file so we can do deeper customisation on an existent them.
Best part I think was running through the sections about creating a Theme from scratch which I've looked into before but not managed to grasp.
I benefited immensely from watching the instructor -- as if watching over his shoulder while building a Wordpress site from scratch.
learned a lot about WordPress from scratch to good level It's just beginning, I think we can make a better rating after a couple of lectures.
The content is also spotty and could be explained better I learnt how to install Wordpress from scratch and enjoyed the SEO plugin.
It was a little more basic than I needed but I decided to start the course from scratch.

I want to create my own website from scratch and use plugins and he has explained it and shown it really well (I think), I haven't tried it yet but it is all making sense hypothetically, and I like the step by step approach, and all in a few hours.
Thank You Brad Traversy is a magnificent teacher and goes above and beyond in his explanations as he walks step by step through the build.

I was able to follow along on our own Wordpress site and apply them to a real world application.
I have definitely created some operator error, but once I've worked through that, this course has been easy to follow along with.
I had to go on youtube to follow along since I am using WORDpress 4.9.8 version.
I decided to follow along with these instructions instead of learning haphazardly.

good i got introduced to new topic, so happy since videos are explaining so well This course covers all the basic fundamentals of creating a WordPress website, from setting up the environment all the way to building your own theme.
However, his ideas of setting up and running a server locally has merit, in theory.

local server
The instructions on installing XAMPP is so out of date it was impossible to get to the point that I could use this as a local server.
After several frustrating days, I gave up on his instructions for this and went via Bitnami and set up a local server using this offering.
Once I was able to set up a local server, I was able to follow along easily.
The primary information that was useful was the simple guide in navigating wordpress and how to install and use it on a local server.
