Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) is a remote sensing method that uses laser beams to measure distances and create 3D models of objects and environments. LiDAR sensors emit laser pulses and measure the time it takes for the pulses to reflect off objects and return to the sensor. This data is used to calculate the distance between the sensor and the objects, creating a highly accurate and detailed 3D representation of the surroundings.
