The DMAIC process is a data-driven improvement methodology used to identify, analyze, and eliminate waste and defects from business processes. It is a five-step process that includes: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control.

Define

In the Define phase, the team identifies the problem or opportunity that they will be working on. They also define the goals and objectives of the project, and the scope of the project.

Measure

In the Measure phase, the team collects data on the current state of the process. This data is used to establish a baseline against which the team can track their progress.

Analyze

In the Analyze phase, the team analyzes the data collected in the Measure phase to identify the root causes of the problem or opportunity. They also develop potential solutions to address the root causes.

Improve

In the Improve phase, the team implements the solutions that they developed in the Analyze phase. They also track the results of the improvements to ensure that they are effective.

Control

In the Control phase, the team monitors the process to ensure that the improvements are sustained. They also make any necessary adjustments to the process to ensure that it continues to improve.
