Meet Your Instructors

Emilio Jose Garcia Rodriguez and Samantha Kristoferson own and operate KW Professional Organizers in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. They help share education that has anything to do with Organization, Minimalism, and Self Care.

Meal Planning is a component of all of those things combined. They believe (because they love food) that making a simple meal plan can help reduce stress, improve health, and ultimately make you feel great.

Samantha goes through several of the most common meal planning frustrations that many regular people face. Can you relate?

Meal planning? Yeah right.

The idea repulsed Samantha over 7 years ago when her partner asked her to give it a try. However, to reach compromise she reluctantly began to follow a simple meal plan. Watch as she shares what she found.

Always one to try and find the best way to do things, Emilio for decades has enjoyed the process of simplifying meal time. Discover why he got started with meal planning in the first place.

Here you'll see what to expect from the course and subsequent videos.

What kind of chef are you? Do you only eat to survive?

No matter how you describe yourself, this first step is one of the most important. It will determine whether you find success with meal planning or fall back to poor habits. You must know yourself or at least be willing to explore who that might be.

As we mentioned when we introduced ourselves, we are professional organizers. We started our journey in teaching by working one-on-one with people in their spaces. Of course, the kitchen was always a hot spot for clutter and frustration.

We believe that when you want to create new habits you also have to set up your surroundings to reflect this new goal. Take part in this exercise to discover if your kitchen is ready for meal planning.

Inventory, why?

I know what you're thinking. "I'm not a grocery store, why should I take an inventory?"

The reasons are evident in this video. And although it isn't necessary to always do this, it is an important awareness piece. Don't worry, you'll love it.

No matter what you like to eat, we believe that creating a meal plan will help you eat the foods you love more often and with less stress.

Can you list your favorites?

Yep. You'll want to do inventory one more time. This time with food!
