¿A quién va destinado? Personas que consideren que el pensamiento crítico es indispensable en la educación y en la democracia.

¿Qué es el pensamiento crítico? Abordamos la perspectiva de la educación crítica, para que la juventud y las personas en general tengan los instrumentos necesarios para situarse en su contexto social y cultural, y adquieran habilidades para la participación y el cambio social.

¿Qué tiene de digital? Vivimos en un mundo global e interconectado en aspectos como la economía, la política o las comunicaciones. La globalización de la información y la proliferación de medios digitales ha comportado aspectos positivos, pero también nos plantea retos como las fake news, la posverdad, los discursos del odio, entre otros. Ante esta realidad los estudios sociales no pueden mantenerse al margen, sino que han de preparar a la ciudadanía para interpretar de manera crítica las informaciones sobre problemas sociales, buscar soluciones y alternativas, para educar en la participación.

El pensamiento crítico es clave para vivir en la era digital, un mundo global e interconectado, que da acceso a gran cantidad de información que puede ser falsa, sesgada o malintencionada.Sin embargo, el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico en la educación básica y superior sigue siendo una tarea pendiente para docentes y sistemas educativos, que no han conseguido dar respuesta a las demandas de este nuevo contexto.Este curso tiene como objetivo ayudar a formar el pensamiento crítico y ofrecer recursos que permitan a los docentes desarrollarlo en sus alumnos a través de problemas sociales relevantes.La comprensión y análisis de conflictos contemporáneos globales permite proyectar pensamiento crítico y su formación hacia la participación y la justicia social, para educar una ciudadanía crítica y responsable.Después de realizar este curso serás capaz de:

Ciudadanos del mundo: educar para la ciudadanía global
Esta semana trabajaremos sobre la idea de la ciudadanía global y cómo educar para una ciudadanía crítica y participativa en un mundo globalizado e interconectado.
Invisibilidad de personas y grupos en los estudios sociales
Esta semana desarrollaremos la capacidad de identificar personas, identidades y culturas invisibles e invisibilizadas en los estudios sociales, y aprenderemos estrategias para hacerlas visibles en nuestra práctica educativa.

Esta semana desenmascararemos los discursos y relatos del odio en los medios y en la red y desarrollaremos estrategias de pensamiento crítico para para elaborar contrarelatos en pos de la justicia social y de la paz.
