In this video I discuss how much a Solo guitar teacher can earn when running an effective guitar teaching business. I also discuss how many students you need to earn each level of income. Group Teaching is by far the most lucrative guitar teaching business model, in which you're able to earn over Six Figures per year teaching groups of students. In the upcoming modules, I explain how we can actually attract these numbers of students and fit them into your schedule.

Short Answer: No! I absolutely regret getting my Music degree and getting slapped in the face with $30,000 worth of student debt. In this video, I show you why you don't need to be qualified to be a guitar teacher and how to only spend $200 on upskilling your teaching and guitar playing skills to make you more confident and comfortable to teach.

You may hold some internal beliefs that you aren't good enough to teach guitar. I say to that "In 2 Years, You Wish You Started Today". As long as you know the basics of chords, guitar TAB and few other things, you are qualified to teach beginner guitarists!

You can decide which of the 3 Most Effective Guitar Teaching Business models that will work best for you and your schedule. I go through the Pros and Cons of each model so you can pick the best one for you.

Many guitar teachers teach from their homes to save on cost and maximise profits. In this video, I discuss the Pros and Cons of doing this.

In this video, I discuss how I found the perfect teaching space for my guitar teaching business. A space in which, I am perceived to be more professional and space where I can run workshops, performances and my 3-5 student group classes with ease.

I give you 3 Actionable Steps that you should complete before going on to the next module. Have fun!

Think of the exact student that you would LOVE to teach. When we can get clear on the student type that you love to teach and work with, we can tailor our marketing material to that avatar and fill your teaching schedule full of those kinds of students!

After you've chosen your ideal student avatar, we need to get clear on the frustrations, desires, fears and dreams of that target audience so we can solve their problems and provide them with the best service.

Creating a strong brand identity is important when it comes to marketing your lessons to your target demographic. Ask yourself these questions to get clear on how you want to be perceived by customers and attract the students that you want.

Here are some actions steps that you can make now to lay the foundations to an awesome Guitar Teaching business brand and attract your ideal students in droves.

It doesn't matter how 'nice' your students or parents are, they will take advantage of you if you don't have a fair studio policy. A studio policy is a set of rules that your students to agree to as the start lessons. It ensures you still get paid if they're 'feeling tired' and want to cancel last minute. Most guitar teachers don't do this and are left without any income when a student couldn't be bothered to come to lessons. I explain how to create a studio policy and give you a template to use.

You need to decide how your students are going to pay you. I go through the Pros and Cons of each payment system and show you the automated system that works for me and works perfectly with my studio policy agreement.

30 Mins, 45 mins or 1 Hour Lessons? I walk you through the pros and cons of each so you can select the one that works best for your students, teaching style and business model.

The age-old question. How much should you charge for your guitar lessons. This really depends on the country that you live in and many other factors but I try my best to give you a few tips on how to price your lessons. General rule = $1 per teaching minute.

Automating my scheduling system with software is a major reason that I earn over six figures per year while ONLY working 14 hours per week. By using a scheduling software, I'm  able to free up my time for hobbies, family and travel. I also have WAY fewer headaches throughout the week haha.

I show you the best marketing systems that I use to attract 1 inquiry per week on autopilot. The best thing about this is that you can do all of these things in a budget-friendly way. Don't spend hundreds of dollars on FB ads - just do this!

Creating a Google Maps listing for your guitar teaching business is the first thing you should do. It allows your teaching service to be searched easily by potential customers straight away. I also show you how you can optimise your Google Maps listing to get more students.

By creating an effective website for my guitar teaching business, I receive enquiries all the time. There is a specific way to create a website that attracts and persuades your customers to book a lesson with you. I talk about what you should include in your website to get the best results.

Now that you have a Website, you want to optimise the SEO so when students search 'Guitar Lessons near me', your website is visible in the top 5 search results. I give you some tips on how to do this.

If you're not the tech-savvy type or you just want to save a heap of time by not having to learn a website designing program, I can create a fully optimised website for you. This is only applicable to teachers who are interested in teaching kids and teens. It is a Done-For-You Website that is fully optimised to rank your guitar lessons in the Top 5 search results on Google. Visit the link in the resources section to sign up. The first 10 people to sign up will also receive a specific landing page that they can use in their ad campaigns AND blogs written for you to improve your SEO every week.

Pair your call to action with an irresistible offer to encourage action from students (i.e. Book a trial lesson with you). I list a bunch of offer ideas that you can use to sweeten the pot for people looking for guitar lessons.

It's important to have a structured student sign-up process for new students to give a great, professional first impression. I walk you through my entire process and talk about how you can analyse data to ensure you sign up more students.

When your Student Magnet System gets some momentum, you will receive student enquiries. It is crucial to have a tracking system with every students contact details and move them through your student sign up and onboarding process. I show you the free software that I use to track students easily so I rarely forget any booked trial lessons, follow up calls, etc.

Make sure that your students are progressing and THEY CAN SEE that they're progressing. I give you a few ideas on how to illustrate their progress which allows them to see their progress and keeps them motivated for years.

Communication is key when teaching students. You need to establish a clear line of communication and give them easy to understand action steps that they can complete during the week.

Think about offering workshops, performance opportunities or using an additional online learning platform that help students succeed in their guitar goals. As a by-product, your lessons will be so valuable so you can charge more if you'd like to.

Make sure to take your students goals, musical interests and influences into consideration when teaching them. Focus on the musical genres that they like to listen to and craft your lesson around that.

Here are some actionable steps you can take in ensuring your students stick with learning with you for a long time.

In this video, we go through the typical guitar teacher and how YOU are going to be different. Turn Pro and decide to be a professional teacher that provides the best possible lessons for your students.
