Etapa Preoperatoria en Cirugía Colorrectal

En este módulo abordaremos todas aquellas atenciones y consejerías que el paciente recibirá del equipo multidisciplinario en el periodo previo a la cirugía. Al respecto, el cirujano será quién establezca el primer contacto con el paciente pesquisando la patología y realizando los estudios necesarios para contar con un diagnóstico definitivo y aplicar los criterios clínicos para determinar si el paciente puede o no ser ingresado al protocolo de recuperación optimizada. Las consejerías en enfermería, nutrición y kinesiológica estarán enfocadas en las medidas preventivas para evitar las embolias, en la educación sobre el proceso quirúrgico y acompañamiento a la familia; el consumo de hidratos de carbono para promover beneficios metabólicos aumentando así el bienestar y facilitando la recuperación del paciente; la evaluación de la función respiratoria y de su funcionalidad previa (fuerza, resistencia y capacidad aeróbica) respectivamente. Veremos también todas aquellas actividades que el anestesiólogo realiza previo a la cirugía (evaluación preanestésica) donde adquiere vital importancia conocer al paciente y determina el tipo de anestesia más segura para él con tal de disminuir el riesgo al valor más bajo posible.
